About me
Who am I?
My name is Małgorzata Dzikowska and I am a graduate of English philology majoring in translation at the Jagiellonian University (2013). I have also completed non-degree postgraduate studies in specialised translation at the UNESCO Chair for Translation Studies and Intercultural Communication (2014).
In 2018, I passed the state examination and became a sworn translator and interpreter of English, entered in the register kept by the Polish Ministry of Justice under number TP/107/18. Currently, I live and work in Rzeszów, which is my home town.
I specialise in texts from the field of law, finance, banking, management and insurance. Some other genres I like working with are medical records, as well as more creative texts, such as marketing or advertising materials.
The most varied and exciting field of my activity is interpreting – both in the official or legal setting and in a more informal context. I am happy to offer my services during conferences and events by delivering professional consecutive or simultaneous interpreting.
What are my key strengths?
On the one hand – precision and attention to detail, with a focus on linguistic correctness, both in Polish and English. On the other hand – creativity and ability to play with words. Above all – good contact with customers, empathy and willingness to help.
I like new technologies and I use CAT tools on a daily basis. I usually work with Trados Studio, but I also enjoy working online using platforms such as Memsource or XTM.
